Request a Bin

**This page is for year-round submission for supply bins requested by anyone wanting to do their own, separate cleanup. This page is NOT for the October cleanup event. If you want to participate in the October event, please go to the "Annual Mississippi Coastal Cleanup" event page under the Events tab to register!

We are all facing some very uncertain conditions within this pandemic situation. For our program, it has limited our ability to host cleanup events that bring people together to fight a common enemy - marine debris. But it's not the MSCCP that keeps this litter-fighting warship afloat, it's our hardworking volunteers, it's YOU.

There is still so much you can do to keep marine debris from littering our environment! Little actions such as refusing single-use plastic and reusing conainers, to big actions like spread awareness and education, and of course, having a cleanup! Even though we cannot be together, we are here to provide our community and volunteers with the tools and supplies they need to take action.

How can you do this? By having a solo or household cleanup!

Spend a morning, afternoon, or a beautilful Mississippi Gulf Coast sunset removing trash from the beach.

For the foreseeable future, we will be lending out supply bins to those who are wanting to have a solo or household cleanup.

Submit a request to pick up a supply bin!

Once we receive your request, the Mississippi Coastal Cleanup team will put together a bin of supplies, giving you all you need for a successful cleanup. We will schedule a pick up and drop off time for your bin at the MSU Coastal Research and Extension Center in Biloxi, MS. You can keep your bin for ONE week before you must return it to the MSCCP.

Supply Bins will contain:

  • disposible gloves (S-XL)
  • Data Collection Pack (includes clipboards, data cards, and pencils)
  • Trash bags
  • bucket
  • first aid kit
  • trash grabbers
  • hand sanitizer

Returning your Supply Bin

Once you have completed your cleanup, bins will need to be dropped off at the MSU Coastal Research and Extension Center. There will be a designated spot for returning bins since the MSCCP Team will be thoroughly cleaning and sanitizing all returning supplies.

A couple days prior to your bin return date, a member of the MSCCP Team will call, text, or email you (your preference) to remind you of the return date of your bin.

Please don't hesitate to reach out with any questions or to share any thoughts, concerns, or ideas you may have. You can reach the MSCCP Coordinator directly @
